Calling all junior nature explorers! The Junior Ranger Hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve gives kids a chance to learn about plants, wildlife, outdoor stewardship, and the Leave No Trace principles while exploring the preserve.
Designed for kids ages 5–10, the program is also open to older kids and anyone interested in learning more about the outdoors.
What to Expect

The hike lasts about 1½–2 hours. Meet at the Education Building by the picnic tables and look for the signs and volunteers with clipboards.
Kids who complete the program can also ask about Junior Ranger Expeditions and the Young Naturalist program for additional outdoor learning opportunities.
